How to report a problem, how to reach us, and answers to common questions.
Report a problem
Include these three things so the problem can be reproduced:
- The QuoteOP version. In the side panel, open Settings › About.
- The diagnostics file. Under Settings › About, click Report a problem. It downloads a file with technical details such as the version, counts and error references. It contains no message content.
- What you did and what happened. The steps, what you expected, and what the panel showed instead. If the problem just happened, add the reference shown under Details on the chat’s screen.

Questions
Why is a chat “Not saved yet”?
Nothing is scanned until you ask. A chat that is open on Alibaba.com appears in the panel as Not saved yet until you click Scan this chat. QuoteOP never scans a chat on its own the first time.
What does Scan this chat read?
The chat you chose: its messages and its files, back to the first message. Before you click, the panel shows only the open chat’s supplier and company name. QuoteOP never sends, edits or deletes anything on Alibaba.com. After the first scan, the chat updates while it’s open on Alibaba.com. QuoteOP checks it when a new message arrives, every 2 minutes, and when you click Scan now. Nothing updates while the chat or Chrome is closed.
Where is my data stored?
On your computer, in Chrome’s storage for the extension. With Cloud copy on, which is the default, messages are also kept by Supabase in Ireland and files on our server in Poland. Both are in the EU. Exports are ordinary files that you save where you like. The details are in the privacy policy.
How do I delete my Cloud copy?
In the side panel, open Settings and click Delete all data in the cloud. Every chat and file QuoteOP keeps in the cloud is deleted, and Cloud copy is switched off. Chats on your computer and your exports stay. Uninstalling QuoteOP deletes the chats and files it keeps on your computer. Our backups keep copies after that: of chats for up to 60 days, of files with no fixed limit. The privacy policy says more.
Why does a chat say “older messages may be missing”?
Alibaba.com doesn’t tell QuoteOP how long a chat is. A scan reads older messages until Alibaba.com confirms the first one. If Alibaba.com stops sending them, the panel shows Older messages may be missing. If you stop the scan, it shows You stopped the scan. Either way, messages saved so far stay, and exports of that chat end in -incomplete. Open the chat on Alibaba.com and click Scan now to try again. If the panel asks you to, refresh Message Center first.
